How are you doing this week? Staying safe and well I hope. April 23th is World Book & Copyright Day. It’s the perfect nudge I needed to get myself to…Let’s Talk Cancer Books, Part 2 (& I’m Hosting a Giveaway!)
Nancy is not only one of my very favorite people and part of my virtual support system, without whom I don’t know how I’d handle this shitty cancer thing, she’s also an author. I have read her books -available on Amazon – but you can also enter her giveaway. There’s a lot to be said, and she says a lot of it with candor and without pinking you to death. I have favorite authors and their cancer books Robin McGee’s The Cancer Olympics, and Sophie Sabbage’s The Cancer Whisperer. Their books are also available as audio books and I love hearing their words in their voices. I know Nancy pretty well now. But I’ve had minimal interactions with Robin and Sophie. However, I feel like I know what’s driven them as I listened to their words I feel their emotions bleeding through. Robin’s is about colorectal cancer but the type of cancer doesn’t drive her narrative. Take a read with the of them and enter Ms. Stordahl’s contest, you will be happy you did.
